About Us

Founded in 1982, Southern Burner Services Ltd has been servicing Gas and Oil boilers and Aga’s for 45 years. Our engineers are Gas Safe and Oftec registered and between them have in excess of 50 years of experience.
Over this time, we have built up a sizeable and loyal customer base. We are a family run business who pride ourselves in providing a first class service to all of our customers to ensure that we meet their expectations.
We aim to provide a same day boiler and system breakdown service to our regular service customers during week days 8.30-5.

We cover Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, North Hampshire and South Buckinghamshire.

Breakdown Emergency Callouts

Appliance breakdowns are inconvenient and often occur in the midst of winter, so we offer a breakdown emergency call out service. For existing customers we aim to respond to your emergency within 24 hours,  Monday to Friday 9am -5pm, plus all of our vans are stocked with a range of common used spare parts and components so we can get you back up and running straight away where possible. 

Insurance cover

To allow us to work with our customers we have Public Liability Insurance for £5 million.

We have an opening for a full-time office role in our Tidmarsh office.

About the Role

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, and skilled person to join our team. This full-time position will play a pivotal role in contributing to the overall success of our organisation. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of competency, creativity, and dedication to ensure the team meets its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Sales and purchase ledger experience in Sage. Compiling month end accounts for external accountants.

· Raising customer invoices in a timely manner.

· Taking telephone calls from our customers.

· Calling customers and booking appointments for our engineers.

· Organise and maintain office records, schedules, and supplies.

· Liaising on a daily basis with our engineers in the field.

Required Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with:

· Experience of working with Sage would be preferable.

· Strong organisational and time-management skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Proficiency in standard office software and technology.
